What is The Black Sheep Brewery?

The Black Sheep Brewery, at the heart of Masham, and their beer tastes best from the source! 
Just a short drive from the Heifer, the Black Sheep Brewery in Masham makes a great addition to a Yorkshire Dales getaway.

The brewery has become one of Yorkshire's best-known names. Visitors can take a guided brewery tour, discover how their award-winning beers are made and, of course, finish with a tasting. There's also the Baa…r & Kitchen and the Sheepy Shop to explore.

And after a day discovering all things Black Sheep, where better to spend the night than in our very own Black Sheep Room at The Wensleydale Heifer? A perfectly themed Yorkshire escape for anyone who enjoys doing things a little differently.

Visit the brewery. Sample the beer. Then come home to the Black Sheep Room – ewe really couldn't plan it better!

Founder, Paul Theakston, came from the Theakston Brewery Family.
He was seen as the Black Sheep of the family for branching out to open his own brewery in 1992, but it gave him the perfect idea for a brand name 😉
